I am a transfer student in my Sophomore year, and a Maine native. My major is Animal Behavior, and I am specifically interested in training and working with dogs and horses. I have volunteered as a puppy raiser for Guiding Eyes for the Blind for over six years, which has given me a solid background in basic dog training. For just about as long I have been working with horses, from basic routine care and riding lessons to adopting and training my own two completely wild horses. This has driven me to pursue a career in this type of work. I hope to integrate more humane training practices into the equestrian world as well as delve into animal assisted learning and psychotherapy. Besides working with animals, I enjoy hiking, biking, photography and dancing.
